Founded in 2019 by winemaker Kelsey Albro Itämeri, itä wines is a woman-owned and operated winery in Walla Walla dedicated to expressing the unique terroir of the eastern foothills of the Walla Walla Valley. Kelsey employs a minimal-intervention, restrained approach that honors the moderation and finesse of these Blue Mountain hillside grapes, focusing on varietals and styles uniquely suited to this distinctive place we call home. Since her inaugural vintage, itä has earned impressive recognition—being named a “Winery to Watch” by Wine & Spirits, while Kelsey herself was honored as one of Wine Enthusiast’s “Future 40.” Her wines have consistently garnered 90+ ratings from prestigious publications including Decanter, Wine Enthusiast, and Wine & Spirits.
