Maker Tasting at Halfseas Bottle Shop
Come meet Kelsey Albro Itämeri, the winemaker behind itä wines, a small, low-intervention winery working out of the eastern foothills of Walla Walla’s Blue Mountains. Kelsey will pour four of her cool-climate, high-acid, lower-alcohol bottles that owe more to Burgundy than to the big reds Washington usually gets known for. Come taste, hear the real stories behind the vineyards, and ask Kelsey anything you’ve ever wondered about how wine actually gets made.

Join itä wines for a pop-up tasting at WeRise Wines, one of our favorite shops in the city and a place that’s been in our corner since early on. WeRise is more than just a wine bar, they are building a wine community that makes room for winemakers who’ve historically been left out of the industry, women, Black winemakers, Latinx winemakers, and they love introducing wine to people who haven’t always felt invited to the table.
